Analysis of the Robot With Respect to AI

Throughout the Minds and Machines curriculum, we learned a lot about artificial intelligence, what constitutes a mind, consciousness, and the definition of intelligence. The "artificially intelligent" robot we created, does not have any of these things. In order for something to be conscious, it must have a mind, and in order for something to have a mind, at the very least, it must be able to think for itself. The "intelligence" of our robot, comes exclusively from an algorithm which was written by a human. This means it does not think for itself, but instead simply follows what the algorithm tells it to do.
