Privacy Policy for MindMorph
Last updated: 19 August 2026
1. Camera
MindMorph uses your device camera to detect facial expressions, which control the gameplay.
Your camera images are processed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded, stored, transmitted, or shared with us or anyone else. We do not record video and we do not take photographs.
During multiplayer matches, a small set of numeric values describing your expression — such as how much you are smiling, how open your eyes are, and how far your head is tilted — is sent to your opponent so their screen can display an animated cartoon face. Your actual camera image never leaves your device. These values are deleted when the match ends.
2. Information we collect
Account: a user identifier and the username you choose, through Firebase Authentication. You may sign in with Google or play as a guest.
Game data: scores, coins, XP, level, achievements, level progress, daily missions, friend list, and multiplayer match records, stored in Google Firebase.
Advertising and analytics identifiers, through Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics.
We do not collect your real name, phone number, contacts, location, or photos.
3. Information visible to other players
The following is public inside the app: your username, avatar, level, and best score appear on leaderboards and in tournaments. Friends can additionally see your online status and send you coin gifts and match challenges. Do not use your real name as a username if you would prefer it not to be public.
4. How we use your information
To save your progress across devices, to show leaderboards and friend battles, to operate multiplayer matches, and to display advertisements.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Third-party services
Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics) — stores your account and game data
Google AdMob — displays advertisements and may use an advertising identifier
Their handling of data is described in Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
6. Children
MindMorph is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your username, coins, XP, level, achievements, friends, and all game progress.
You may also request deletion by emailing us at the address below. We will complete the request within 30 days.
8. Data retention
Game data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, it is removed immediately. Anonymised analytics may be retained by Google under their own policies.
9. Security
Data is stored using Google Firebase with access rules that restrict your data to your own account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
