MindfulSpend ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the MindfulSpend mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
MindfulSpend does not require user accounts or login to use the app.
We do not collect or store the following information on our servers:
- Name- Email address- Google account information- Firebase User ID (UID)- Passwords- Account credentials
Expense records, budgets, savings goals, spending limits, notes, and related app data are stored locally on your device.
2. How Your Data Is Used
The information you enter into MindfulSpend is used only to provide the app's features, including:
- Tracking expenses- Managing budgets- Setting savings goals- Displaying spending history and reports- Providing spending insights and alerts
Your locally stored data is not transmitted to our servers.
3. Data Storage
MindfulSpend stores your app data locally on your device using local device storage.
Because your data is stored locally:
- We do not have access to your expense records.- We cannot view your budgets or spending history.- Your data is not automatically synced to our servers.- Deleting the app may remove locally stored app data from your device.
You are responsible for maintaining any backup of your data if the app provides or supports a backup/export feature.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Since MindfulSpend does not use a user account or cloud database, your expense and budget information is not collected by us for storage or sharing.
We may disclose information only when required by applicable law or legal process.
5. Third-Party Services
MindfulSpend does not use:
- Firebase Authentication- Firebase Firestore- Google Sign-In- User account authentication services- Cloud-based storage for your expense data
If future versions of the app introduce third-party services, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.
6. Data Security
Because your MindfulSpend data is stored locally on your device, the security of that data also depends on the security of your device.
We recommend using appropriate device security measures such as a screen lock, PIN, password, or biometric authentication.
No electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
MindfulSpend does not maintain a server-side account or database containing your personal expense information.
You can delete your locally stored MindfulSpend data through the app's available data-management features, where provided.
Uninstalling the app may also remove locally stored application data from your device, depending on your device's operating system and settings.
Because we do not maintain your expense data on our servers, there is no server-side account that you need to request us to delete.
8. User Rights and Controls
You have control over the information you enter into MindfulSpend.
You can:
- View your expense and budget information within the app.- Edit or delete locally stored data where supported.- Stop using the app at any time.- Remove the app and its locally stored data from your device.
9. Children's Privacy
MindfulSpend is not specifically directed toward children under 13 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 because the app does not require users to create an account or provide personal information to us.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date.
