In addition to longer meditations, mindfulness can be practiced by doing very short exercises such as deep breathing. These simple exercises can be used almost anywhere, anytime to calm your body. Below are two exercises to start you on your mindfulness journey!
1️⃣ Find somewhere comfortable, sit back, relax.
2️⃣ Take a deep breath through your nose while counting to four in your head.
3️⃣ Hold your inhale for a 4 second count
4️⃣ Exhale through your mouth while counting to four. Release all tension.
5️⃣ Hold your exhale for a 4 second count
Repeat this as many times as you like and keep your mind focussed on breathing.
1️⃣ Stop: Take a moment to pause whatever you're doing.
2️⃣ Take a Breath: Inhale deeply, centering yourself in the present moment.
3️⃣ Observe: Notice your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings without judgment.
4️⃣ Proceed with Purpose: Continue your day with renewed clarity and intention.
Give yourself the gift of mindfulness and watch the stress melt away!
