The Mindful Leadership Circle brings together educators in K-12 and higher education who are cultivating awareness, compassion, and purpose in their professional and personal lives. Rooted in mindfulness practices, our gatherings offer space for reflection, dialogue, and collective renewal.
The Circle was co-founded by educators Vincent Cho and Sharon Kruse, who saw the need for a compassionate space where leaders could reconnect with their values and sustain the inner conditions for social change. Whether you’re new to mindfulness or a longtime practitioner, you’ll find a welcoming community committed to personal growth and collective well-being.
Vincent Cho is an educator, researcher, and longtime mindfulness practitioner. A former middle school teacher and administrator, he now serves as an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at Boston College, where he directs the Ed.D. program in educational leadership. Rooted in Buddhist traditions, his mindfulness practice shapes his approach to teaching, leadership, and daily life.
Sharon D. Kruse is an educator, scholar, and meditation teacher dedicated to helping schools become places where everyone is engaged in learning. Recently retired from her role as Professor and Academic Director of Educational Leadership at Washington State University, Vancouver, she continues to teach, write, and lead workshops on mindfulness and leadership. The author of Mindful Educational Leadership: Contemplative, Cognitive, and Organizational Systems and Practices, Sharon draws on more than three decades of experience to help educators lead with curiosity, awareness, and compassion.
