MINDCIRCUIT PRIVACY POLICY
Effective date: September 14, 2026
Last updated: September 14, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use MindCircuit (the “App”). We respect your privacy and designed the current version of the App to work without an account and without sending your gameplay data to us.
By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
2. Information Handled by the App
2.1 Information stored locally on your device
The App stores the following information locally so that its features can work:
- Game progress, completed levels, star ratings, best move counts, achievements, daily puzzle results, AI Duel wins, and virtual coin balance;
- Current puzzle sessions and undo history;
- Tutorial progress and App preferences, including sound, haptics, and accessibility settings;
- Unlocked and selected cosmetic tube styles; and
- Puzzle Challenge Codes that you create, import, or save.
This information is not automatically uploaded to us or stored on our servers.
2.2 Information you choose to provide
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message, such as your name, device details, screenshots, feedback, or support request.
If you use the App’s sharing feature, the App opens your device’s system share sheet with a Challenge Code and message. You choose whether to share it and which third-party app or recipient receives it. The receiving service handles that information under its own privacy policy.
2.3 Information we do not collect through the App
The current version of MindCircuit does not:
- Require or provide user accounts;
- Collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, or precise location through the App;
- Access photos, the camera, or the microphone;
- Record audio;
- Collect health, fitness, or biometric information;
- Collect payment card or purchase information;
- Use advertising, cross-app tracking, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs; or
- Automatically transmit gameplay or diagnostic data to us.
The App plays bundled sound files locally and may use your device’s haptic feedback features. These functions do not record audio or collect personal information.
3. How We Use Information
Locally stored information is used only to provide App functionality, including saving progress, restoring an unfinished puzzle, calculating rewards and achievements, remembering preferences, and managing saved custom puzzles.
Information you send to us by email may be used to:
- Respond to support requests and feedback;
- Diagnose problems you report;
- Protect the App and our legal rights; and
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising or sell it to third parties.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may disclose information contained in support correspondence only when reasonably necessary:
- To service providers that help us operate our email or provide support, subject to their applicable terms and privacy obligations;
- To comply with law, legal process, or a valid request from a public authority;
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, the App, or us; or
- As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
MindCircuit may be downloaded through an app marketplace, and your device operating system provides certain App functions. Apple, Google, device manufacturers, network operators, and any apps you select from the system share sheet may process information independently under their own privacy policies. We do not control their data practices.
5. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Gameplay data and preferences remain on your device until you delete them within the App where that option is available, clear the App’s storage through your device settings, or uninstall the App. Depending on your device settings, your operating system or backup provider may retain a device backup that includes App data.
We retain support emails only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of personal information contained in support correspondence by contacting us.
6. Data Security
Because gameplay data is stored locally, its security also depends on the protections provided by your device and any device backup service you enable. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for information you send to us, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You can control your locally stored data by using available in-App controls, clearing the App’s storage, or uninstalling the App. You can choose not to send support emails or share Challenge Codes.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information we hold about you, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to processing, and the right to withdraw consent. California residents may also request information about collection, use, disclosure, or sale of their personal information and may exercise applicable rights without discrimination. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise an applicable privacy right, contact us using the email address below. We may need to verify your request before responding. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children’s Privacy
MindCircuit is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. International Processing
If you email us, your message may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our email provider or service providers operate. Where required, we take appropriate steps to protect personal information in accordance with applicable law.
10. Third-Party Services and Links
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services, app marketplaces, operating-system services, or destination apps used to share a Challenge Code. Please review their privacy policies before providing information to them.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, our practices, or applicable law. We will make the updated policy available with a revised “Last updated” date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
