Objective
Mind Body Soul prioritizes spreading awareness of self-care and emotional intelligence in creating a healthy balance between one’s mind and body to fight the battle against depression. When it comes to mental and physical health, putting one before the other can be detrimental to their well-being. An imbalance between the two can negatively impact peoples lives in many ways. This can include immense stress, physical harm or injury, difficulty focusing, restlessness, and more. All of these things create an unhealthy physical, spiritual, and mental state and can lead to depression. This is why we created Mind Body Soul. Our team is passionate about helping others who are struggling with the balance between mental and physical health and encourages them to take care of themselves and live happier, healthier lives.
Risk Factors
Risk factors are things that put people in danger of dealing with negative and unhealthy emotions, situations, and habits. This includes biological, psychological, and social factors that are present in our personal, familial, and community environments. The more risk factors present, the higher the chances that a dangerous problem will occur. Mind Body Soul focuses on risk factors that may cause depression.
Our main Risk factors!
Anxiety/Immense Stress
Imbalance
Low self esteem
Unhealthy Relationships
These risk factors create an environment in ourselves and community that can breed depression and poor mental health. Anxiety disorders often increase one’s risk for depression. Immense, chronic stress can cause a decline in mental and physical health. It can result in neglectful habits and leaves us at a very high risk for mental health disorders like anxiety and depression. Psychological factors such as self esteem are among the highest risk factors for the disorder. One of the things that we talk about a lot through Mind Body Soul is relationships and how they effect our mental health. Unhealthy relationships can lead to other risk factors such as anxiety, low self esteem and, if left unchecked, can lead to depression.
Our Main Protective Factor is:
Creating balance between our mind and body to increase productivity and overall happiness
Examples of this include:
Exercise
Setting routines
Making time for hobbies
All of these protective factors help to prevent the risk factors for depression. They are ways to get your life organized all while staying healthy, doing what you love, and leading a life full of happiness.
