About us
Mind Your Media hopes to train and transfer a variety of skills and knowledge to an individual from a disadvantaged youth centre who will educate others in a 80 minutes workshop about how to use their online activity in a positive manner and not create an online footprint that they later regret, and cannot retract. The Mind Your Media story
Mind Your Media began back in 2013 by two entrepreneur students when Enactus first came to IADT. In the past, the Mind Your Media programme had focused specifically on teaching TY students, but when redeveloping our needs assessment and surveying people, we realised that our programme can be adapted to a variety of different age group and we now teach children age 10 years old and above, parents, and facilitators in second level education.
Since October 2017, the project has expanded and gained the partnership from the two organisations previously; Foróige and South-side Partnership-youth clubs who work with children and teens the education and to gain skills they need for employment life. Mind Your Media has also been backed up by KBC and Citi Bank, placing first in the KBC Pitch Perfect Competition 2017 and second place in the Citi Pathway to Progress 2018.
