Dr. Byoung-chul Min is currently an Endowed Chair Professor at Chung-Ang University in the College of Business & Economics, where he teaches Metaverse Business Creativity, a course he first developed at Konkuk University in 2010.
This course is held in English and has students from all over the world. In this course, students write their own innovative proposals and participate in various innovative start-up projects with Lotte IT and Com2us (Global Companies Centered In The Metaverse), CJ Food (Global Food Company), and SparkLabs (Global Startup Support Company).
Dr. Byoung-chul Min is widely known as a multicultural communication educator. He is also known as Korea's National English Educator through his over ten years of practical English Education on MBC-TV and KBS-TV. He advocated practical English education in the era of grammar-centered English education, contributing to the improvement of people's English ability and the globalization of Korean society.
In 2007, while teaching at Chung-Ang University, Dr. Min started the Sunfull movement when a series of suicides by celebrities who were bullied by malicious comments emerged as a social problem. With the establishment of the “Sunfull Movement”, Dr. Min has been continuously leading the effort to spread a culture of positivity, consideration, and encouragement to counter malicious comments and hate speech for the past 15 years.
In 2018, Dr. Min established the, first of its kind, Internet Peace Prize as a way to recognize and support those who have contributed to world peace by countering cyberbullying, hate speech, and human rights violations on the internet. The first Internet Peace Prize was awarded to Hiro-o Sekida, the chairman of Kawasaki Network of Citizens against Hate Speech, a Japanese non-governmental organization, and Ken Ogiso from Japan, who has provided internet ethics education to 400,000 netizens.
His continuing and unfaltering efforts have gained recognition in Korean as well as global media. Dr. Min presented at Asian Leadership Conference, 2021 to share his life journey and enduring struggles in bringing peace on the internet. In his speech, he introduced a vaccine for the Cyberbullying pandemic our netizens have been battling over the years. As he says, “humankind is battling this silent pandemic” and “we can lose no more precious lives.”
As of September 1st, 2022, after 15 years of the Sunfull Movement, all national assembly members of the ruling and opposition parties in the Republic of Korea signed the Sunfull Political Declaration, solidifying its impact.
On March 27, 2023, Dr. Min Byoung-chul launched the “Respect for Multicultural Families and All Ethnic Groups in Korea” Campaign (K-respect Campaign) to promote equality and inclusivity for multicultural families and ethnic groups living in Korea. Ambassadors and delegates from more than 40 different countries joined and supported this historical initiative by the Sunfull National Assembly Committee and the Sunfull Foundation.
Dr. Byoung-chul Min earned his master's and doctorate degree at the University of Northern Illinois (NIU) in Leadership and Educational Policy Studies and is currently an endowed chair professor at the College of Business & Economics at Chung-Ang University, South Korea
He has also hosted and presented practical English on major Korean television networks such as MBC-TV, KBS-TV, and EBS-TV over the span of 10 years. In the era of grammar-centered English education in Korea, he promoted and advocated practical English education, contributing to Korea's globalization by initiating the national practical English education.
He also has authored a number of books and publications including Metaverse Business Creativity', university textbook, Job-seeking / Start-up in the age of the metaverse, 'Ugly Koreans Ugly Americans', cultural and behavioral differences between Koreans and Americans, 'Land of Squid Game' Korean traditional games, culture & behavior, 'BCM Practical English', a million-seller, 'Become a Master of English', 'A Good Person Will Succeed in the End', a Sunfull Character Education book, 'Ugly Koreans, Ugly Americans', Cultural and behavioral Differences between Koreans and Americans, and many others.

“I think it is important for each one of us to find areas of society that need to be changed, and to work to change those areas,” Min said. “I would love to connect with individuals or organizations that are interested in bringing my Business Creativity course to their institutions or who is interested in bringing peace to the Internet.”
In March 2021, Dr. Byoung-chul Min was appointed as an Endowed Chair Professor at Chung-Ang University and is now helping students turn their innovative ideas to reality in the Metaverse. His course assists students to create their own business from the ground up. This course was first developed by Dr. Min in 2010 with the purpose of reinforcing competitiveness among students in the global job market in relation to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It focuses on both theoretical and practical elements that ensure that the students are not only academically qualified but also trained in practical skills before they graduate. This course supports innovation by not only encouraging entrepreneurial activity but also maintaining mutually beneficial interaction with global industries. The entire process aims at maximizing competitiveness among students and equips them with confidence to thrive in the global job market.
Dr. Min also connects students with the global leading industries in support of their business ideas. Students visit global companies such as Google Korea, KT, Lotte, Com2us and CJ Foods to propose and present their start-up ideas and receive feedback from business professionals at these leading industries.

Dr. Min has been continuously implementing measures to encourage and help small business owners who have been hit hard economically by this pandemic.
【Industry-Academic Cooperative Small Business Support Project】 As a local government-university cooperation project, Dr. Min is working to analyze problems in the stagnant traditional markets in Gangnam city and Dongjak City area and provide solutions using digital technology and metaverse in conjunction with his ‘Business Creativity’ course. Through on-site analysis, students provide ideas to help small business owners suffering from the Covid-19 economic crisis and apply them to real-life scenarios.
In 2007, in response to the growing problem of cyberbullying, online hate speech, and human rights abuse that has claimed the lives of many people, Dr. Min started the Sunfull Internet Peace Movement. So far, more than 7,000 schools and organizations have joined in the Sunfull Movement, with 8.6 million comments of encouragement and support posted online. Also managing an "Online Free Legal Advisory Group" of 100 lawyers for victims of cyberbullying, it conducts activities to protect human rights and lives as well as provides legal advice. The Sunfull Movement is working to improve political culture by collecting Sunfull Pledges from Members of the National Assembly and making efforts to pass legislation that mandates cyberbullying prevention education programs.
In 2023, 47 lawmakers in Philippine House of Representatives signed the Sunfull Pledge, making it a significant history in globalizing the movement.
Through Sunfull Pact of Practice with various organizations in society, the Sunfull Foundation is actively pushing to spread the culture of encouragement throughout society.
After the National Sunfull Relay Campaign Launching Ceremony (May 5th, 2010) and National Sunfull Street Campaign (June 16th, 2012), Dr. Min launched the Internet Peace Prize with the goal of contributing internationally to protect human rights and peace on the internet. He is also receiving signatures of support from national assembly members in the U.S., Japan, and the Philippines as well as the South Korean National Assembly to draw attention and support for the Sunfull Internet Peace Movement. In addition, the Sunfull Movement is contributing to the spread of a culture of providing comfort and encouragement by delivering such messages to victims suffering from disasters in various countries around the world.
Dr. Min mentions, “Through character education on the consequences of bullying, we can help shape the youth of the world into responsible netizens.”
On November 7, 2018, the plaque with the names on it of members of the National Assembly who had signed to participate in the Sunfull Campaign, was delivered to Moon Hee-Sang, Chairman of the National Assembly.
In January 2018, several United States congress members have signed to support the Sunfull Internet Peace Movement.
On 19 December 2017, the Pyeongchang Peace Declaration has been announced by Byoung-chul Min, chairman of the Sunfull Foundation, and Tilman A. Ruff, co-representatives of IPPNW, and Tim Wright of ICAN.

100% of Lawmakers in Korea support Sunfull Internet Peace Movement
The Sunfull Foundation held the 9th National Assembly Members’ Good Language Sunfull Awards on December 7 at the National Assembly Library and awarded prizes to 35 lawmakers who used good words during the National Assembly's sessions. The Sunfull Foundation has been awarding National Assembly members every year since 2013.
The winners of the "Sunfull Grand Prize" were Kim Jin-pyo, National Assembly Speaker; Lee Cheik, Chairman of the Public Administration and Security Committee of the People's Power; and Hwang Hee of the Democratic Party of Korea, with 28 Sunfull Awards and four Achievement Awards.
As of December 1, 2022, all 299 lawmakers (100%) from the ruling and opposition parties have signed the "National Assembly Member's Sunfull Political Declaration,"
The declaration reads, "I declare that I will take the lead in achieving the politics of national harmony and unity that the whole nation desires for political colleagues with beautiful words, writings, attitudes, and actions, participating in the good-natured and caring campaign to create a bright and beautiful world."
Min Byoung-chul, founder of the Sunfull Foundation, said, "It is very meaningful that all 299 lawmakers of the ruling and opposition parties have signed the Sunfull Political Declaration. I hope this will lead to a politics of harmony instead of political strife, and I believe their commitment to using good words will have a positive impact on the language habits of young children.”

K-Respect Campaign ("Respect For Multicultural Families And Ethnic Groups In Korea") Launched On March 27th, 2023, At National Assembly, South Korea
On March 27, 2023, the "K-Respect Campaign" was launched in the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, aiming to promote respect for multicultural families and foreigners residing in Korea. The campaign was jointly organized by the National Assembly Sunfull Committee and the Sunfull Foundation. Its objective is to raise awareness of the discrimination and challenges faced by multicultural families and foreigners in Korean society, as well as to promote equal treatment for foreigners and highlight their valuable contributions to the Korean economy and culture. The event was attended by ambassadors from 25 countries, deputy ambassadors from 15 countries, and members of the National Assembly, with support expressed by diplomatic missions from over 40 countries.
Kim Tae-ho, Chairman of the National Assembly Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee, stated that "This launch event will increase awareness of the difficulties faced by multicultural families and foreign residents who require understanding and respect in the multicultural era, and serve as an opportunity to enhance mutual understanding and respect." Hong Ik-pyo, Chairman of the National Assembly Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee, mentioned that "In the rapidly progressing multicultural society, this campaign hosted by the Sunfull Foundation will serve as a catalyst for improving the insufficient understanding and respect towards multiculturalism."
Nguyen Vu Tung, Ambassador of Vietnam, expressed that "This campaign will help Vietnamese citizens adapt better to Korean society and improve their lives," adding that "Vietnam also believes in extending the same respect to Koreans residing in Vietnam."
Min Byoung-chul, Endowed Chair professor at Chung-Ang University and the initiator of K-Respect, emphasized that the "K-Respect Campaign aims to enhance social diversity, mutual understanding, and respect, contributing to the creation of a culture where individuals with different cultures and backgrounds can harmoniously coexist in a multicultural society."
The campaign has three main objectives:
• Increase awareness of multicultural families and ethnic minorities in Korean society,
• Protect the rights of multicultural families and ethnic minorities,
• Support the active participation of multicultural families and ethnic minorities in Korean society.

In 2017, when the Korean Peninsula was facing a nuclear threat, Mr. Moon-soon Choi, Governor of Gangwon Province and Dr. Min Byoung-chul, Korean National Assembly Member Mr. Min Byoung-doo together with Dr. Tilman Ruff, Co-President of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW), the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, and Mr. Tim Wright, Asian Pacific Director of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, issued the Pyeongchang Joint Statement of Peace, a call for peace on the Korean Peninsula and for the North Korean athletes to participate in the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
Inspired by this event, in the following April 2018, Dr. Byoung-chul Min established the Internet Peace Prize as a way to recognize and support those who have contributed to world peace by countering cyberbullying, hate speech, and human rights violations on the internet.
The first Internet Peace Prize was awarded to Kawasaki Network of Citizens against Hate Speech, a Japanese non-governmental organization, and Ken Ogiso from Japan, an advocate for internet etiquette.
The Kawasaki Network comprises of 165 human rights organizations. It has been fighting against hate speech by Japanese far-right activists. It also monitors discrimination on social media and gives lectures on cyberspace ethics.
The other laureate, Mr. Ogiso has given more than 2-thousand lectures on communication ethics to some 400-thousand people in Japan.
Since the outbreak of Covid-19, Dr. Min has produced and distributed videos to share information online with other countries about how Korea has been fighting the pandemic and has encouraged people to serve each other in these tough times.
【Korea’s Efforts Against COVID-19】 The video, “How KOREA is fighting against COVID-19” was produced and released to share with people around the world how Korea responded to the Coronavirus, which has been receiving global attention since the Covid-19 outbreak. The video, which contains seven minutes of changes in Korean society such as, rapid Covid-19 testing, advanced smart quarantine systems, and social distancing, including efforts by medical staff and the government, received global attention.
