Program Director
Veronica Lainez
Our licensed family childcare is led by Veronica Lainez, a child care provider with over two decades of experience as a nanny and doula for individual families. At the age of 22, she immigrated to the United States, where she has dedicated her life to providing child care for numerous families over the years. She is a mother of three and now seeks to utilize her expertise to establish an educational environment that fosters learning and development at the children’s own pace.
Philosophy
At Mimi’s Playhouse, we believe children are capable, curious, and naturally driven to learn. Our program is built on the idea that when children are given the freedom to explore, make choices, and participate in their daily environment, they develop confidence, independence, and a true love of learning.
Our classroom is a play-based, child-led environment where learning happens through hands-on experiences rather than structured lessons. Children are encouraged to follow their interests, solve problems, and take an active role in everyday routines.
Independence is the foundation of our program. From cleaning up after activities to making choices in their play, children are given the time, patience, and support to do things for themselves. While the process may sometimes look messy or take longer, these moments are where meaningful learning happens.
Through play, exploration, and real-life experiences, children naturally build the social, emotional, and academic skills that prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.
At Mimi’s Playhouse, we don’t rush childhood—we create an environment where children can grow into confident, capable learners.
Our staff is fully vaccinated and boosted and has undergone a background check.
