Hi,
I'm Milon Chowdhury, Assistant Professor at Kentucky State University, Frankfort, KY, USA.
I'm Milon Chowdhury, Assistant Professor at Kentucky State University, Frankfort, KY, USA.
I am Dr. Milon Chowdhury, an Assistant Professor of Soilless Plant Culture at Kentucky State University. My research focuses on developing smart, sustainable, and technology-driven solutions for controlled environment agriculture and soilless crop production.
My work brings together smart farming, hydroponics, nutrient dynamics, liquid organic fertilizers, substrate science, sensors, automation, and artificial intelligence to improve crop productivity, resource-use efficiency, and sustainability. I am particularly interested in integrating sensing and automation technologies with plant production systems to enable more precise management of water, nutrients, and growing environments.
I hold a Ph.D. in Bioproduction Machinery Engineering from Chungnam National University, South Korea, and worked as a postdoctoral scholar at Chungnam National University, the University of California, Davis, and The Ohio State University. My research has resulted in peer-reviewed publications, funded research projects, and collaborations spanning agricultural engineering, horticulture, controlled environment agriculture, and precision agriculture.
Beyond research, I enjoy teaching, mentoring students, and developing the next generation of agricultural engineers and scientists. Through my work, I aim to bridge engineering and plant science to create practical technologies that support the future of sustainable agriculture.
If you are curious about me or my research, please go through my website or feel free to contact me.
