MPMS Math 7

Meet Mrs. Carias

Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year ! My name is Mrs. Carias and I am your new Math 7 teacher. Let me begin by telling you a little about myself. I was born in the Dominican Republic and lived there until I was 11 years old. I moved with my family to Ft. Lauderdale, FL and lived there until 2006. My family and I moved to Cary, North Carolina in 2006 . I have three beautiful daughter's. My eldest daughter just started her first year of college. I also have a daughter that's a senior in highschool and 3rd grader at MPES .

I am very proud to be a part of the faculty of Mills Park Middle School ! I believe the students feel very lucky and proud to be here too!

We are going to have a very busy and productive year filled with exciting Math activities . It is my belief that positive interaction between teacher and parent strengthens the feeling of support all students' need for success in the classroom. My goal is to create an atmosphere of open communication regarding your child’s progress in class.

Parents hold one of the most important keys to making math a positive experience for their children. I ask that parents make math a top priority at home, providing a quiet environment, a particular time, and all necessary supplies for extra practice and studying, for this will be the time that your child prepares for upcoming quizzes and exams. Feel free to contact me if you have a particular concern. I am confident this procedure will lead to improved communication between us. By working together we will be able to better meet the needs of your child.

With warmest regards,

Mrs. Carias

Meet Ms. Khan

Hello I'm Ms. Khan!

I recently moved to North Carolina earlier this year from Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from the University of Louisville with a major in Middle School Education with a focus in ELA and Math.

I started my teaching journey at Mills Park earlier this year and was given the opportunity of being a math teacher. This will be my first official full year of teaching at Mills Park which I am so excited about!

I am very passionate about teaching and am looking forward to creating an enjoyable and enlightening classroom environment. Please do not hesitate to let me know any questions, comments, or concerns you may have.

Looking forward to this year!

Sincerely,

Ms. Khan
