Nadja Coln is a military spouse of over 22 years, a military mom, an educator, a mother of three, and a passionate advocate for students navigating the unique challenges of military life. Having taught across public schools, charter schools, and international Christian schools, Nadja brings a global and deeply empathetic perspective to her work with military-connected children.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Education, focusing on Curriculum and Instruction. Her teaching experience spans K–12 and includes subject areas such as German, geography, and social-emotional learning. Nadja has also created and taught custom curriculum to military families stationed overseas.
As both a parent and teacher, she has witnessed firsthand how school transitions, deployments, and cultural adjustments impact students and how meaningful, responsive instruction can change lives. This inspired her to create resources that equip educators to support military-connected students through Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL).
When she’s not teaching, creating resources, or helping fellow educators, Nadja enjoys traveling with her family, painting landscapes, and developing community-focused educational initiatives.
“When military kids feel seen and supported, they grow into strong, confident learners. My mission is to help teachers create that space.” – Nadja Coln
