ABOUT

Miles was born in the Helderberg Hospital in

Somerset West in 1991. Raised by a single mother

in Macassar, he started his schooling at Firgrove

Primary in 1998. He enjoyed art, Language and

playing Volleyball. After passing Grade 7, Miles

went to Gordon High School where he matriculated

in 2009 with a bachelor pass. Pursuing his dream

of becoming a teacher, Miles was accepted to the

University of the Western Cape to study a Bachelor

of Education but was forced to drop out after his

first year due to financial constraints. He then

started working to support himself and was

awarded a bursary to study a Bachelor of

Commerce at Boston City Campus, which he

completed in 2015. Following his graduation, Miles

worked in the finance department of one of South

Africa's biggest fashion retailers, Truworths, as part

of the work commitment for his bursary. After

completion, he joined an internship programme

working in imports and exports at a prominent

global shipping company, MOL Lines. Miles

currently works as an Senoir Enrolment Advisor in

the Higher Education department of the world's

leading education company, Pearson, and is

completing his post-graduate qualification in

Education, where his passion lies.
