5K Event Master Schedule

7:30 AM – Participant Check-In Opens
Participants may begin arriving to check in, pick up race bibs, and visit event areas.

8:15 AM – Opening Remarks
Welcome message, national anthem and honor guard by Bob Jones High School JROTC, brief announcements, and any acknowledgements before the race begins.

8:30 AM – Race Start
5K race officially begins.

9:40 AM – Race Ends
Course closes and final participants finish.

9:50 AM – Awards Ceremony
Recognition and presentation of awards.

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM – Post-Race Celebration
Participants and guests are invited to stay and enjoy food trucks, activities, face painting, and field games.

Course Map

Sunshine Oaks is a 5K course that runs through a natural area with trees and open space. The route is simple and easy to follow, making it a comfortable run for participants. Being surrounded by nature makes the course enjoyable without being distracting.
