This Privacy Policy explains how Milebook ("the app", "we", "us"), provided by TechTenStein, handles your information. Milebook is designed to be private by default: your trips, vehicles, expenses and location history are stored on your device and are not uploaded to us. We do not require an account.
Trips, vehicles, expenses, receipt photos, business purposes, your chosen tax jurisdiction, goals, and settings. This information is stored locally on your device.
To detect and record drives, the app accesses your device location, including in the background when you enable automatic tracking. Location data is used solely to log mileage for your records and is stored on your device. It is never sent to us and is never used for advertising.
If enabled, our diagnostic and analytics providers collect app-usage and crash data, and (on supported devices) advertising identifiers, to keep the app stable and to show ads in the free tier. On iOS, personalized advertising and tracking occur only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
The app schedules reminders (such as streak and tax-deadline alerts) locally on your device. We do not operate push servers and do not send remote notifications.
The app may use Google Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Remote Config to monitor stability, understand aggregate usage, and manage features. See Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The free tier may show ads via Google AdMob and, through AdMob mediation, the following networks: Unity Ads, Meta Audience Network, Pangle, AppLovin, and Mintegral. These providers may process advertising identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Purchasing Pro removes ads.
In-app purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details.
To provide automatic mileage tracking, classification and tax reports; to keep the app reliable; to show ads in the free tier; and to process purchases. On-device data is used only to deliver the app's features to you.
We do not sell your personal information. On-device data is shared only when you explicitly choose to — for example, exporting a report or backup through your device's share sheet, or emailing us for support. The third-party services named above process data under their own policies.
Your trips and records remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. You can erase all on-device data at any time using Settings & "Clear my data". Diagnostic and advertising data are retained by the respective providers per their policies.
Because your records live on your device, you control them directly: view, edit, export, back up, or delete them at any time. Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by our service providers; contact us and we will assist.
Milebook is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards under applicable law.
On-device data benefits from your device's protections. Backups can be protected with a passphrase you set, which encrypts the backup file. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
