Mission Statement
MYFCA is a community based non-profit league that supports and organizes youth football & cheer activities for the children of Mildred ISD communities (Mildred, Navarro, Eureka, and surrounding areas).
MYFCA is the local league affiliate for the tri-county Navarro Ellis Hill (NEH) league.
MYFCA typically competes against teams from similar sized communities in our local area such as Rice, Kerens, Blooming Grove, Dawson, Scurry-Rosser, Palmer, Italy, & Itasca.
Each year MYFCA organizes teams from age 5-12 into different age groups to provide a positive, fun environment for all children in the community who have a sincere desire to learn the game of football. Players learn the game and develop skills during practices and games that focus on the fundamentals.
MYFCA also organizes squads from each age group to compete in Cheer. Squads practice routines and are introduced to the competitive world of Cheer in a friendly, positive way. Cheerleaders perform at each game and compete against Cheer squads from the other organizations in a season ending competition.
In addition to supporting community youth through its athletic programs, MYFCA has also been a valuable asset to the community by assisting in the repair and maintenance of athletic facilities used by the entire community, hosting games that bring in numerous visitors to the community, as well as preparing our youth for football & cheer at the high school level.
Mildred ISD programs benefit by having a group of young boys and girls who have the fundamental skills that a school coach can build upon. Each year many of the High Schools that have teams in the Texas UIL State Football playoffs have benefited from a strong local youth football program.
The ultimate goal of MYFCA is not to develop outstanding players or cheerleaders; it is to develop outstanding young men and women who can play great football & successful cheerleaders . This is done teaching our players & cheerleaders cooperation, team work, communication and citizenship along with blocking, passing, catching and cheering.
Although we fully support Mildred ISD and its athletic programs, MYFCA is self-funded and supported by community volunteers and is not financially supported by the district or tax payer funds.
Non-Profit Status
