Avani Kashyap is a 16-year-old writer and student from India. She mostly writes fiction and creative nonfiction, often about memory, identity, and the in-between moments people tend to overlook. She’s currently studying humanities and figuring things out one story (or ramble) at a time. When she’s not writing, she’s probably reading, overthinking, or organizing something she doesn’t really need to.

Jullya is a multifaceted artist whose work ranges from painting to writing, exploring her emotions and creativity along the way. 

At Mildew Zine, she brings this background - developed through her experience with reading and writing - to thoughtfully review the incredible forms of writing that will potentially constitute the magazine and help manage and coordinate the overall review process.

Alivia Stonier (she/her) is a contemporary poet from Connecticut. She enjoys using her poetry as a means to explore personal topics and musings. She majors in Creative Writing, Media Production, and Music Studies as a current University Student. Previous publications include Bottlecap Press, midsummer magazine, and being a Staff Reporter for The Echo and Uptight Magazine. When she isn't writing she can be found at concerts or curled up with a good book.

Lee Vandeleur (they/them) is a writer and poet from Romania. Their hobbies include studying four languages at once, without being fluent in any of them, researching Victorian England, and buying expensive books they don't have the time to read. When they aren't writing in class or editing their poems, you can probably find them wandering libraries or people watching at a café. 

Marilysse Torres is a young Puerto Rican writer that focuses on the aspects of the human experiences through storytelling-driven poetry and general fiction. She holds publications in numerous magazines and journals. Being a member of the team of Mildew Zine, she works as a guest writer.

Zed is a 16-year old who writes for fun and shares it to build confidence. They've been writing for as long as they could remember, and now, they do it for school publications, personal poems, competitions, and literary magazines! As one of the columnists for Mildew Zine, they can't wait to start writing and sharing their writing to the readers and audience. 

althea luna is a junior high-school student based in the Philippines who carries a deep love for passion for literature, film, and fine arts. when she is not playing video games or watching criterion closet picks, she spends her time writing and sleeping. 

This is Siddhi, a thirteen-year-old writer from Asia. I’m a February baby, so Pisces, math smart, multilingual, and a slut for words. I write both prose and poetry, though less of the latter. My area of expertise is fiction, as you might have guessed. My WIP, which I call 'WSWTD', is a new adult fantastical dark academia about a girl who is kidnapped by the ghosts of her ancestors and forced back into time, while her friends and family struggle to locate her. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me either reading, painting, journalling, playing the guitar, drowning in ink, or scrolling Pinterest. 

Living in the the south Pacific, while also being inspired by its Culture and diversity, Marissa takes a shot at being a writer. She is working on her first ever novel, inspired by Fijian village folklore. You can find some of her stories and adventure at Maramavula.com

A queer, Filipino writer that loves writing while enjoying a cup of coffee and listening to The Smiths. He loves writing about the deep, complex, overlapping experiences of what it is to be human-- mixing in the emotional with the philosophical. He's a huge nerd and loves all kinds of media: music, comics, movies, and most especially, books! 

Kyra is an impassioned writer who hopes to be a published author one day. At 17, she is an aspiring literature student who loves music, films, literature and all things creative. 

Irina Vérène (they/fae/she) is a non-binary writer from Germany who loves to explore the rawness and complexity of human connection and emotion in poetry and prose. Since 2025, they are a staff writer for Sepulchre Literary, Violet Desires, Soft Love Literary, and Elora Vérité Magazine, as well as a guest writer for Mildew Zine. They have been published by Vial of Bones Zine, Moss Puppy Magazine, Toad Shade Zine, The Infinite Blues Review, and Gnashing Teeth Publishing, among others. Lillian EJ Farias is a five-time published poet from Minnesota, who really enjoys trying too hard and the smell of her dog. Lillian’s work has appeared in several publications such as County Lines: Literary magazine and The Looking Glass Review, while also self-publishing works under her blog, Urban Legends that I made up.

Tay Buesnel is a writer and filmmaker from Jersey. She is a graduate of the University of Worcester, and holds a BA in Screenwriting and Drama. In addition to writing for various digital magazines, she can often be found working as a supporting artist on various short films and television dramas.

Amber (Nicole) is a young Filipina student on average, but a performer and writer at her core. She focuses her passion on music and singing while expressing herself through prose and poetry (and occasional word vomit) that she hopes will resonate with others. I love stories. I look around through rose and lavender coloured glasses seeing the potential for fairytales in everything. And if not? I’ll make it into one. Weaving tales infused with desperation and reverence, wonder and terror, beauty and grotesque, otherworldly and immersed in memory.
