San Satiro

Small on the outside, big on the inside, this church is an astonishing act of visual deception.

Usually when we visit a big city we are inevitably attracted by big, stunning monuments, but we should never forget that sometimes, around the corner there may be something special even if it’s not the biggest or the shiniest.

And guess what? This church is one of those! In Milan’s historical centre, a hidden alley in Via Torino hides a little jewel that you certainly don’t want to miss.

The church of San Satiro was built between the end of the 1400s and the beginning of the 1500s. Its architects were Donato Bramante and Giovanni Antonio Amadeo and with its facade from the neo Renaissance, its romanic bell tower, its rose window and, of course, all its colours and decorations, this beautiful church is ready to be admired by as many people as possible!
