It was started in Korea in 1979 by Professor Jaeseo Lee (a visually impaired person), and the founding service was held here in Toronto, Canada on April 20, 1996. Currently, it is a global missionary organization specializing in the disabled, with 57 branches in 16 countries, including Korea (28), the United States (11), Europe (10), Canada (2), and other regions (6).
The three main purposes of Milal Ministry are to spread the gospel to the disabled and their families (evangelism), to help them with practical difficulties in the spirit of Christianity (service), and to inform society and the church about them (enlightenment). Currently, the Canadian Milal Mission is served by Pastor Seon Kang Park, staff members and Milal ministers.
