Mikey Holt (born Mikey Chester Holt on June 25, 2009) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, actor, voice actor, and dancer. Known for his emotionally driven fusion of melodic hip-hop, alternative pop, emo rap, and atmospheric production, Holt has become recognized for music centered around themes of love, heartbreak, mental health, vulnerability, grief, and personal growth.
Throughout his career, Holt has performed under the stage names The 39 KID (2019–2022) and Zozzy World (2022–2025) before professionally returning to his birth name. He currently releases music independently under Enternal Abyss Records, recording primarily from a home studio while continuing to expand his creative direction into production, film concepts, and visual storytelling.
Born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Holt later relocated there permanently in 2023 and considers the city a defining part of his identity and artistic inspiration.
Despite beginning his music journey at a young age, Holt gradually developed a dedicated underground fanbase through emotionally raw songwriting and genre-blending experimentation. His work often combines melodic vocals, emotional lyricism, distorted guitars, ambient production, and modern trap percussion.
Over time, Holt has worked alongside producers including Dan Darmawan, DJ Scheme, Sadboyshawn, and Nick Mira, while collaborating or being creatively associated with artists such as Kee Nola, D4vd, Olya Holiday, Powfu, and Bladee. These collaborations and influences helped shape his evolving sound and artistic direction.
One of Holt’s most ambitious creative concepts is LOVECIDE, a dark emotional era and multimedia-inspired project blending themes of heartbreak, obsession, grief, emotional destruction, and romance. The project reflects Holt’s cinematic storytelling approach and marks one of the most defining creative periods of his career.
Mikey Holt was born on June 25, 2009. Although now closely associated with Tahlequah, Oklahoma, he did not spend his entire childhood there, relocating permanently in 2023.
He attended Greenwood Elementary School and Tahlequah Middle School before later becoming part of the Ada High School (Oklahoma) Class of 2027.
Growing up, Holt was exposed to a wide range of music through his father, including artists and bands such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, Slipknot, Korn, KISS, Journey, Eagles, AC/DC, Queen, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osbourne, The Beatles, N.W.A, Tupac Shakur, Stevie Wonder, and Ice Cube.
Holt has described himself as shy in school but highly expressive at home. During his school years, he participated in band, theater, track and field, basketball, and wrestling.
He began making music in 2017 at the age of eight. His first recorded song, “Party Every Day” (2017), was a childhood track centered around celebration and positivity. In his earliest years, Holt recorded vocals using his phone’s camera app over YouTube instrumentals before later teaching himself recording, songwriting, and production techniques independently.
A major turning point in Holt’s life came with the deaths of both of his parents. Their passing deeply influenced the emotional direction of his music and became a central source of motivation behind his artistic expression. Despite experiencing bullying and doubt throughout his youth, Holt continued pursuing music in their honor.
By age fourteen, he began taking music more seriously and, by 2025, expanded further into music production and creative direction.
Holt’s music blends emotional lyricism with melodic rap delivery, often layered over guitar-based instrumentals, atmospheric synths, ambient textures, and modern trap drums. His sound frequently moves between vulnerability and confidence, balancing emotional openness with themes of ambition and perseverance.
He cites Juice WRLD as a major influence for emotional honesty and melodic songwriting, while drawing inspiration from Ice Cube’s confidence, authenticity, and legacy. Additional influences from rock, grunge, alternative, and underground internet music scenes can also be heard throughout his work.
Holt’s music explores themes including:
Love and heartbreak
Mental health and loneliness
Grief and healing
Self-worth and resilience
Isolation and emotional vulnerability
Fame, ambition, and identity
Much of Holt’s catalog is rooted in real-life emotional experiences. His message emphasizes emotional honesty, mental health awareness, perseverance, and self-expression.
Through his music, Holt encourages listeners to understand they are not alone in their struggles and promotes vulnerability as a form of strength rather than weakness.
His work during the LOVECIDE era particularly focused on cinematic storytelling, emotional destruction, toxic love, and psychological conflict, becoming one of the most artistically defining periods of his career.
