With the basic tools of graphite and paper I create two-dimensional worlds. The power of imagination supplements my addiction to drawing, allowing me to escape into fantastical original creations, seen through my mind’s eye. Translating my imagination onto paper creates illusionary manifestations of these thoughts, allowing them to be shared with others in tangible ways. Drawing is a visual adventure for me, a journey rife with exploration and reward.
My work displays my obsessive attention to detail to create an intense landscape of interacting themes. I hope to induce a trance-like state in the viewer, where the longer they stare at my work, the more they are engaged in finding new details and meanings every view. The eclectic range of themes in my work allows me and the viewer to explore different aspects of my imagination, allowing for contrasting and differing adventures when experiencing each individual work.
