Mike McCandless (BA, CQSW, NCMS), Mediator.
I'm an established Mediator, qualifying in 2014 with a National Certificate in Mediation Skills, Open College Network. I have a current DBS and am a Registered Social Worker (Manager).
I have a long track record of working in Health and Social Care roles and most recently in the Charitable Sector.
While in management positions in the public sector and during my time as a senior social worker I recognised that dispute resolution through mediation both in families and between parties was preferable to formal legal and HR processes that often increased conflict and unhappiness.
This experience inspired me to change direction and train as a Mediator.
