Hello! My name is Mike Chamberlain, you can call me Mr. C or Mr. Chamberlain. This is my 15th year teaching Physical Education, and my 4th year at Diamond Path Elementary. Previously, I taught Elementary Physical Education for 11 years in North Minneapolis.
I couldn't be more thrilled to be back with District 196. I grew up in Eagan, MN. I attended Thomas Lake Elementary, Falcon Ridge Middle School and graduated from Eastview High School. GO LIGHTNING!! After high school, I earned an Associates degree in Exercise Science from Normandale Community College, then earned my Physical Education (K-12) Bachelor’s degree from Saint Cloud State University. GO HUSKIES!! More recently, I completed my Masters degree in Educational Leadership.
When I'm not at school, I love spending time with my family outside and being active. My wife and I have four kids (Linnea - 9 in April, Lachlan - 7 in January, Thorin - 4 in December, and Milo - 2 in September). We enjoy camping, fishing, bike riding, playing sports, the PACKERS, the TIMBERWOLVES and the RED SOX!
I am looking forward to teaching and learning from each of you again this school year. I have many exciting activities and programs planned for our students! Be sure to browse Diamond Path website for the latest happenings in the school or district. Our Physical Education website will include weekly updates, fitness challenges, and a list of helpful links.
You can contact me through my email michael.chamberlain@district196.org or by calling the school directly.
