Gerard Hansen - Drums
Gerard took up playing drums at High School under the guidance of Leon Jayet. After leaving school he auditioned and was selected for the NZ Army Band where he stayed for 14 years performing throughout NZ and overseas. While playing and becoming proficient in many types of music Gerard developed his love for Big Band music and Jazz in general. Gerard gave up playing after leaving the NZ Army Band in 1996 to only recently start playing again after getting the bug back again. Gerard doesn't belong to any band but happily fills in when required.
