My name is Mike. I'm a recent Ph.D. in social psychology at New York University, and a member of the Amodio Lab at UvA and Collective Cognition Lab at NYU. In the fall of 2024, I will be joining Columbia Business School as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Management Division.

My research broadly concerns the dynamic interplay of individual and systemic factors in social cognition. I apply experimental and computational approaches to understanding how system-level cognitions and behaviors emerge from individuals, to the aim of addressing large-scale social issues like systemic racial inequality and climate change. I am also interested in how collective representations manifest in natural language and propagate via AI algorithms.
