Mikael Pasini is an accomplished professional dancer, performer, and educator from Sicily, Italy. He began his dance training when he was four under private instruction and, by 11, was accepted into the Accademia Nazionale di Danza of Trapani, affiliated with the Accademia Nazionale di Danza of Rome.
At 14, Mikael moved to Rome to attend the Liceo Coreutico at Convitto Nazionale Vittorio Emanuele as a full-time dance student, where he trained under Marzia Recchia (Former Principal Dancer, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma), Francesca Malacarne, and Fabrizio Podaliri (Former Principal Dancer, Teatro alla Scala di Milano). During this time, he expanded his artistry to encompass contemporary and commercial dance under the mentorship of internationally acclaimed choreographers including Bill Goodson (choreographer and lead dancer for Diana Ross), Garrison Rochelle ("Dancin’" under Bob Fosse; "Amici di Maria De Filippi"), and Kledi Kadiu (choreographer, actor, and TV personality).
While performing on "Amici di Maria de Filippi", an Italian talent TV program revolving around dancing abilities, Mikael captured the attention of Igal Perry, world-renowned choreographer, ballet master, and founder of the Peridance Center in New York City. Within weeks, Igal awarded him a full scholarship to the Peridance Certificate Program and later invited him to join the Peridance Contemporary Dance Company, where he is one of the lead dancers and rehearsal coordinators.
Mikael’s professional career spans across stage, film, television, and commercial performance. As a versatile concert dancer, he has appeared in major U.S. and international productions, including the TDF Gala Broadway Awards and New York Fashion Week for the brand Studio 189. His other television and film credits include "Wonderama" (produced by David Michaels), "House Party," and "Un uomo e una voce" (directed by Giuseppe Conti).
His commercial dance work has led him to collaborate with globally recognized artists such as Gad Elbaz on his L’Chaim World Tour at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York, and Italian superstar Laura Pausini. Mikael’s appearances in music videos include Mordechai Shapiro’s "Ashira," which earned millions of views, Simcha Leiner’s "Shuvi," and Brandon Jerrod’s "Overtime," which won Best Music Video at the Hudson International Film Festival in New York City.
Mikael has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Lincoln Center for the Performing Artsin Igal Perry’s "The Nutcracker" with Peridance Contemporary Dance Company and Sony Music Hall in choreography by Miles Keeney ("Good Morning America," NBA Brooklynettes, and "RuPaul’s Drag Race"). He is frequently featured as a lead dancer in works by distinguished choreographers such as Yuka Kawazu (Artistic Director, Danse En l’Air) and Vivake Khamsingavath (NBC's "TODAY", "The View," and "Good Morning America").
Following a highly competitive audition process, Mikael was invited by award-winning choreographer Kristian Cellini to perform alongside the legendary Carla Fracci, one of the most celebrated interpreters of Romantic Ballet, at the Teatro Luca Ronconi in Italy.
Throughout his career, Mikael has performed works by internationally-renowned choreographers including Robert Battle, Igal Perry, Jessica Lang, Lar Lubovitch, Johannes Wieland, Mike Tyus, Larry Keigwin, Yin Yue, Roderick R. George, Dolly Sfeir, Julie Magneville, among others.
His commitment to artistic excellence has earned him multiple accolades, including the OZ Award for Best Performer at the XYZ NYC Art Show.
In addition to his extensive performance career, Mikael is a dedicated dance educator. He has taught ballet technique at esteemed institutions including New York Edge Public School, New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, New York Performing Arts Academy, Dance Molinari, and various New York City public schools such as Baychester Academy, Grant Avenue Elementary School, Dutch Kills, and Westchester Square Academy High School. He has also taught at Dance Center of the Performing Arts and Jeté Dance Center.
