Optics and photonics

Research site of Dr. Miguel A. Preciado

ResearchGate profile here

Welcome to my research website, dedicated to the broad field of light science and applications, ranging from optics, photonics, laser to imaging, including computational techniques and light processing.

This website includes general topics and specialised research, mostly related to my own research. My aim is to elaborate supporting material based on simple and clear explanations, multimedia material, and simple example codes for a quick catch up in the topic.

My main objective for this site, besides an obvious self-promotion, is to expand and make more accessible outputs of research, to facilitate reproducibility of results, potentially establish collaborations, and achieve a higher impact in science and society.

Research topics:

I am eager to share source code or data from papers and projects, as long as appropriate credit/citation is given for any use of the work .

UPDATES

28-Oct-2018Some content has been added in research areas, and in resources.
17-Oct-2018I have finished a major update of the structure and organisation of the site, with more detailed information about research topics. I have included a new section, "Resources", where I plan to add useful pieces of codes and data-sets for other researchers during the next month.
16-Sept-2018I have added information to Nondiffracting compensating beams, and added comments based on Disqus.
13-Sept-2018I have decided to create this site for more research focused in topics related with my own research, present or past, which will be a more static sort of content. For the dynamic activity required for outreaching/dissemination, it seems more natural to use the blog, which will be more focused on more general topics, making them accessible to a broader audience.
