One way we can help birds during migration is to make window decals! Follow the steps below.
Materials List:
Paper cut outs of bird shapes
Scissors
Glue (2 tablespoons)
Dish soap (2-5 drops)
Cup
Paint brush
Hard plastic (re-use take-out tupperware or plastic plate)
Markers
Activity: Steps
Step 1) Draw bird outline on piece of paper, lay it on a flat surface and place the plastic on top. Tape to table to prevent it shifting while you trace.
Step 2) Using the glue and soap mixture: trace over your bird shape with your paintbrush. Add a few layers and let dry overnight.
Step 3) Once dry, color over the glue with markers. Once the decal is all dry carefully peel off and place on your window!
