Welcome to my website - my name is Mieke van Dam and I am an artist-jeweler based in Nelson, in New Zealand's South Island. I design and handcraft each piece that you see here, using precious metals together with elements such as coloured gemstones, diamonds and pearls. My jewellery is available in 2 New Zealand galleries, although direct commission/sales is now my main focus, with customers requesting either work based around my existing designs, or completely novel pieces.  My husband Andy works alongside me and he is responsible for sourcing many of the gorgeous gems we use, together with our social media output. 11/07/2026 UPDATE: We have experienced a recent surge in demand for Mieke's re-modelling skills and consequently our order books for this type of work are now full for 2026. Please contact us in early November 2026 if you would like to book a re-modelling work slot for 2027. As this sort of work is often very time consuming there will be a limit on the number of these jobs we will be taking on for 2027. Many thanks, Mieke and Andy.
