LOCATION:
The Midwest Mini Mayhem will be held June 6, 2026, in St. Charles, IL at Wild Rose Elementary School. Doors will open at 7am, and judging begins at 8am. Please enter the building through door number 20, off of Thornly Road on the east side of the building. This door is the same level as the parking lot, and is easily accessible for carts. After unloading your car, please move it to the front of the building. Thank you!

FEES:
Entry for a standard 6 foot 8 inch table space is $90
Judges are permitted to enter any division they are not judging.
PROXY SHOWING: Proxy showers must be a registered and paid entrant for this show to be a proxy shower.
1-15 horses, no additional table space will be allocated $45
OR Over 16 horses, one table will be allocated adjacent to proxy shower $90
You may sell from your show tables, however no additional shelving or display space may be set up next to or in addition to your table space. At this time, additional sales tables will not be sold. As the show date approaches, we may make sales tables available based on what space is left.
NAMHSA:
Midwest Mini Mayhem will apply for NAMHSA member show status. If approved, any horse receiving a 1st or a 2nd place in a NAMHSA class would be eligible to compete at NAN 2027- 2030.
SCHEDULE
The show hall opens at 7:00 am and classes start at 8:00 am sharp. We will have a short break for lunch and plan on continuing the show into the early evening until all classes are finished.

CLASS - If you would like to sponsor a class, the price is $3.
CHAMPIONSHIP - If you would like to sponsor a championship, the price is $8.
DIVISION - If you would like to sponsor a division, the price is $20.
GENERAL SHOW RULES:
RINGS: It is our intention to run all divisions in their rings concurrently with reasonable pacing.
SEATING: Tables will be assigned to entrants. Please let the show holder know via the entry form what friends you wish to sit with, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
TAGS: Tags must list the name of the horse, breed, gender and your THREE initials all on one side. Please make sure that side is up when you set up your horse. Tag flipping is risky with the littles. Please write legibly.
SPLITS: Classes will be split at the discretion of the judges and show holders.
JUDGE COURTESY: Please refrain from talking to a judge while they are judging. Judges will be happy to explain placings after a class, but their decisions are final. Please be polite and courteous and remember that you are paying for their opinion (even if you don’t agree with it). Please don’t crowd rings that are being judged or peek over a judge’s shoulder during judging.
SHOWER COURTESY: NEVER touch or pick up a model without the owner’s explicit permission. Be aware of your surroundings. Accidents do happen but be careful, so you aren’t the cause of one. If you break or damage an item of someone else’s, be prepared to pay for it. Unsportsmanlike conduct, harassment of judges and/or show staff, or offensive behavior or language will NOT be tolerated. Anyone exhibiting these behaviors will be removed from the show hall without a refund.
LUNCH: There will be a short break for lunch. Showers are welcome to obtain or bring their own food.
We may be placing a group order from a local restaurant(s); information about that will be posted in the facebook show group closer to the show date.
DINNER: There *not* be a break for dinner this year, as we are anticipating pushing through to finish about the dinner hour.
DIVISIONS: DEFINITIONS, CLASS LIMITS, and RULES:
DIVISION DESCRIPTIONS:
Large Mini = Venti, Little Bit/Paddock Pal, Pebbles, Curio, and Stablemate, Chips scales
Small Mini = Bantam, Micro, Mini Whinny, and itty bitty (HO train scale, etc.) scales
CLASS LIMITS: A horse may enter only ONE class. There is an entrant limit of FOUR horses per class. Anything over that limit can be entered for a $1 donation.
BREED DOCUMENTATION: Breed documentation is not required, however may be provided at the shower’s discretion, especially if the breed or a color characteristic is not as well known. Documentation may be no larger than 9” x 6”.
COLLECTABILITY DOCUMENTATION: Collectability documentation is not required, however it is strongly encouraged in order to assist and inform the judge. Documentation may be no larger than 9” x 6”.
WORKMANSHIP DOCUMENTATION: Workmanship documentation is not required, however may be provided at the shower’s discretion. Documentation may be no larger than 9” x 6”.
PERFORMANCE DOCUMENTATION: Performance documentation IS REQUIRED; please explain what the entry is doing in each class. Documentation may be no larger than 9” x 6”.
OF CHINA: Entries in this division are to be a china mass-produced model in its original state as released by the manufacturer.
CUSTOM GLAZE CHINA: Entries in this division are to be China/porcelain/pottery models finished in a unique glaze finish, regardless of where the finish was created.
CUSTOMS: Entries in this division can be china or plastic that have been customized, painted, and/or haired.
ORIGINAL FINISH BREYER: Entries in this division are to be only Breyer mass-produced factory original finish plastic models.
ORIGINAL FINISH SCHLEICH/OTHER PLASTIC: Entries in this division are to be Schleich or any other mass-produced factory original finish produced plastic.
ORIGINAL FINISH STONE: Entries in this division can be only Stone factory original finish produced plastic.
ARTIST RESINS: Entries in this division can be cast resin, 3D printed, pewter or other acceptable materials.
FOAL CLASSES: All halter divisions except the OF Schleich/Other Plastic Division have a separate foal championship. The foal classes are open to foals, weanlings and yearlings.
UNREALISTIC COLORS/DECORATORS are to be shown in their respective breed class and will be judged for collectability or workmanship.
FANTASY EQUINES are to only be shown in their respective classes, where they can only be judged for collectability or workmanship.
ANY MODELS WITH FINISHWORK BY THE JUDGE are to be shown in their separate class in the division, and will be judged in breed and workmanship by another judge.
NO SET UPS or handlers in halter! Exceptions for protective cloth for tippy or fragile models of course.
PERFORMANCE: Performance classes are to include any finish and make mini model.
JUDGES will assume they have permission to handle models if they feel it’s warranted. Please leave a note with your entry if you object.
CHAMPIONS & RESERVES will be named following each section, Overall Division Champs and reserves will be named at the conclusion of all the division sections as noted.
BREED DEFINITIONS: This year, we are using the Horse Breed Reference List, led by Lesli Kathman, for breed placements and breed clarifications in divisions. If you haven’t seen it, please take the time to review this new collaborative and fluid resource.
OTHER GENERAL RULES:
ANYONE displaying bad behavior, language, or poor sportsmanship will be asked to leave the show hall with no refund.
DO NOT pick up anyone's belongings without permission.
NO SMOKING in the building.
PARENTS are responsible for their children’s actions and asked not to cause a disturbance or touch the models.
NO PETS unless it’s a service animal as permitted under ADA law.
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY Once your entry is received & processed, there are no refunds.
LIABILITY: The show holders, judges, support staff, and the school district cannot be held responsible for any lost, broken, or missing property or injury to any participants or spectators.

THE IDEAL LOCAL HOTEL:
The Hotel Baker has been in downtown St. Charles since 1927. It is located at 110 West Main Street, and is about two miles from the show hall and within walking distance of at least two dozen restaurants, bars, and bakeries along Main Street on both sides of the river. It is a historic and unique hotel–Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlburg were married there! We do not have a group rate with them, however it has a place dear to Kerri’s heart as a key piece of St. Charles history.
