Traveling to Pittsburgh
By Air – Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT): located ~20 miles from the University of Pittsburgh. From the airport, travelers can take the 28X Airport Flyer bus directly to Oakland or opt for a taxi or rideshare service, for a direct and convenient ride to campus or nearby hotels.
By Train – Amtrak to Downtown Pittsburgh: Those traveling by train can arrive at Pittsburgh’s Amtrak station in the downtown area. The station is ~2miles from the University of Pittsburgh, and visitors can easily continue to Oakland by bus, short taxi ride, or rideshare.
By City & Regional Transit: Pittsburgh has an extensive public transit system, with numerous Port Authority bus routes serving the Oakland neighborhood throughout the day. Regional bus services like Megabus and Greyhound also arrive downtown, with easy connections to Oakland.

Friday's keynote talk will be held at the Latin American Cultural Center (LACC), located at 4338 Bigelow Blvd, just off the University of Pittsburgh campus.
All Saturday and Sunday sessions will take place in the Barco Law Building, Alcoa Room (Room 229), located at 3900 Forbes Ave, at the corner of Forbes Avenue and South Bouquet Street, in the heart of Pitt’s campus.

Parking in the Oakland neighborhood can be limited, especially during weekdays when the University is in session. Visitors will find several public parking garages and surface lots within walking distance of the University of Pittsburgh campus, including:
Soldiers & Sailors Garage - 4390 Bigelow Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15213
Forbes Semple Garage - 210 Meyran Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213

Metered street parking is also available on city streets around campus, but often time-restricted (during weekdays only). It is recommended to plan ahead and allow extra time for parking, particularly during peak hours on Friday. Parking is generally easier to find on Saturday and Sunday. Most city street parking is free on Sunday.
