Parent Expectations

• Sportsmanship (Represent yourself, Astros, and our team)

• Consistent message (be positive) Please let the coaches coach, your main job is to be a cheerleader for your daughter

• 24 hours: Any issues/Concerns/comments PLEASE have an adult conversation. Take a day off to cool and leave the kids out of it. We understand that not everyone is going to agree with every decision made. If the situation is dealt with in a respectful manner, an optimal solution can usually be agreed upon.

• We ask that parents do not enter the dug out

• If the parents are happy and having fun together the girls will have fun, the closer the parents and coaches are the stronger the team will be

• Most communication will be done through an app – will provide app of choice asap

• We need to be constantly updated on scheduling conflicts for games, practices, and tournaments in order to plan tournaments, games, and practices correctly

• We need to be aware of vacations / camps / mission trips = at least one week ahead of time even if it is a reminder

• Encourage players to talk to the coaches about issues and concerns - good skills moving forward

• Please encourage the girls to do things as a team and look out for each other on and off the field

• We ask that parents to not heckle umpires - let the coaches approach and challenge calls

• Please be prepared for tournaments - first aid supplies - Ice / water/ girl personal items / ect

• We strategically will change our batting order based on teams that we play against so this may flux
