Since igniting in 2016, Midwest Fire Fest has become a sizzling sensation that draws thousands to Cambridge every summer.
This one-of-a-kind celebration of fire, art, and community showcases the raw state and ultimate beauty of clay, metal, glass, and flame. Whether you’re a curious visitor or seasoned collector, we bring heat, heart, and handmade brilliance to your summer.
We are a 501c3 non-profit, with proceeds going into each subsequent year’s Midwest Fire Fest.
A highlight is our iconic clay sculpture project:
Each year, a guest sculptor crafts a massive, 7-foot sculpture using 1,000 pounds of clay.
The sculpture is built on site over four days with help from master ceramicists Mark Skudlarek and John Lupiezowiec.
The kiln? A custom-built 15-foot monster, reaching over 2,300°F.
At 9:00 PM Saturday, the kiln is cracked open for a 10-minute fiery reveal.
On Sunday at noon, the full sculpture is unveiled to the world.
