Midnight Tasks is designed to keep task capture private and simple.
Midnight Tasks stores tasks, folders, dates, notes, color mode, notification preferences, sharing diagnostics, and purchase status needed to run the app.
Most app data is stored locally on your device. If you use Apple-native folder sharing, selected shared folder data is stored in Apple iCloud/CloudKit so invited people can view and edit that shared folder. Private folders are not shared unless you choose to share them.
Premium purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Midnight Tasks checks Apple purchase entitlements to know whether Premium is active. Payment information is handled by Apple and is not collected by Midnight Tasks.
Midnight Tasks may ask for notifications, calendar access, alarm-style alert access where supported by iOS, and iCloud access for Apple-native folder sharing.
Midnight Tasks does not sell personal information. Midnight Tasks does not include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
You can delete tasks and folders inside the app. You can stop folder sharing through Apple sharing controls. You can delete the app from your device to remove local app data from that device.
