Interact Club at Middleton High School is very new. On the contrary, Interact & Rotary international is a organization rooted deep into history. Rotary Club, the largest service club in the world, helped to eradicate polio, focuses on providing clean water to underdeveloped areas, and provides assets and assistance to public schools across the world. Rotary's sphere of influence has changed the world for the better. Interact Club is the junior branch of Rotary. Middleton Interact resides in rotary district 6270. There are 1.2 Million rotary members, in over 200 countries, on all 7 continents, including Antarctica. Currently, there are around 30,000 rotary establishments across the world. We at Middleton High School have been focusing on the fight to provide water to those most in need. Last year, in only our second year of operation, we successfully raised over $3,500 towards a well in rural Liberia, in Africa. We brought our resources towards Strides for Africa, a local non-profit with our same goal, and the well was finished in April 2019. This year, we plan on building another well. We figure that this type of support is of utmost importance to us. Our first well brought clean water to 687 people. This freed women and children from having to collect water as a living, and has stimulated the local economy, bringing prosper to the Otevan Region of Liberia. So help us to reach this goal! Join our club, stay active in our community, provide what you can, and convince others to also provide. We plan on making a difference. Are you with us?
