MEET THE ARTIST

Hi, I’m Margaret! I’m the artist behind Middleton Creative.

I have been painting since I was a kid, and it's become one of my favorite ways to slow down, have fun, and relax. I primarily work with acrylics, though I occasionally dabble in watercolor and oils. My style is bright, colorful, and impressionistic, and I’m especially drawn to the beauty found in nature and everyday life—flowers, animals, coastal scenes--the little things!

By day, I’m a Physician Assistant Student, which is a completely different world from painting! But I love that art gives me a creative outlet outside of medicine and a chance to make things simply because they bring joy. What began as painting for myself, friends, and family has slowly grown into Middleton Creative, and it's been so much fun creating pieces that find a place in other people’s homes.

And Meet Sam

Middleton Creative isn't entirely a one-woman operation! My husband, Sam, is the other creative half around here.

When he’s not working in data analytics, Sam enjoys woodworking and creating beautiful, functional pieces by hand. His projects have included turned pens, bowls, charcuterie boards, pizza cutters, knives, small vases, ice cream scoops, and plenty of other things that start with, “I wonder if I could make that…”

While our creative mediums are very different, we both love the process of taking something simple and turning it into something meaningful, useful, or beautiful.

Together, Middleton Creative is our little corner for making things we love and sharing them with others. Whether you’re here for an original painting, a custom piece, something handmade from wood, or just to follow along with what we’re creating next, we’re so glad you’re here.
