A little about me
At age 13, I experienced my first out-of-body experience after a serious accident that left me questioning the meaning of life. By 15, I was already seeking truth and understanding, stepping away from the comfort of an upper-class upbringing to experience life through hardship surviving on one meal a day and sleeping on the floor of a friend’s home.
At 21, I died during childbirth and was legally deceased for three minutes and twenty-three seconds. That near-death experience profoundly changed my perspective on life, spirituality, and purpose. Over the years that followed, I explored several faith traditions, seeking meaning and healing through both personal and spiritual growth.
At 28, I lost my mother to cancer, and a year later, my home was destroyed in a fire. Around that same time, I survived an abusive relationship that led to a deep depression, substance use and a long period of rebuilding my life. These challenges taught me about trauma, resilience, and the power of recovery.
Through my own lived experience with adversity and healing, I discovered my passion for helping others overcome substance use challenges, mental health struggles, and personal loss. My professional work is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based recovery practices.
Today, I dedicate my career to empowering individuals to find meaning beyond suffering, rebuild their lives, and create a foundation for long-term recovery. I integrate lived experience with professional training to provide peer-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered support.
