Hey! My name’s Yaseen Sherif , I’m 18 years old and in my senior year, and I’m going to be your co-chair for SC as well as your Secretary General for MEVMUN 2023. I've been living in Oman for the past 8 years, but im moving to Sharjah for University next year. I've been involved with MUN since 9th Grade, and plan on continuing my journey with MUN throughout University. I'm super excited that I'm able to not only be the SG, but to also be the founder of this new conference. I've been a geography and history buff for as long as I can remember, and thanks to MUN have recently gotten into politics as well. I'm beyond excited to meet you all this August!

Hello, my name is Atika Al-Hinai! I am 16 years old and in the 11th grade, in Oman. I am co-deputy secretary general of MEVMUN 2023 and the main chair of the Human Rights Council. Despite having only participated in MUN conferences last year, I have enjoyed participating and even chairing in conferences, especially my first one. Although, I don’t just dabble in political debates and MUN conferences, trust me, I use my free time to do things such as running, reading, and writing (having published my first book last year), along with many other things. I look forward to meeting you all this summer!

Hey! My name’s Eisha Khan, I’m 17 years old and in 11th grade, and I’m going to be your head chair for DISEC and Deputy Secretary General at MEVMUN 2023. I recently lived in Oman for 7 years, but I’ll be chairing this conference from all the way over in Canada! While I’ve been doing Model UN for over 3 years now and have loved every second of it, my most memorable experience will always be participating in my very first conference with the whole model UN family back in Oman. Besides being a politics/debate nerd, I also love playing drums, and my favorite music genre is probably classic rock. It's been amazing organizing this conference with the rest of the secretariat, and I can’t wait to meet you all this upcoming summer!

Hi! My name is David Berndt and I am the main chair of the General Assembly. I was born in Boston and have lived in the Middle East for 6 years in total. I am a freshman at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh studying physics. I love talking about science and how it can improve the world. To express that forward-thinking, I participated as a member of MUN for 4 years and a leader for 2 in high school. My favorite part of MUN was working together with other students to come up with real solutions to serious global issues and helping newer members join in.
