Rules & Guidelines:
The sponsor fee PLUS A NEW TOY (for between the ages 5-10 years old) is due no later than Friday, May 2nd. All toys are used for Portland High School’s “Toys for Tots” project.
All Late Registrations are subject to a $5 late fee!

Applications may also be turned in on Friday, May 3, 2024 @ Portland High School (Gymnasium Entrance) during pre-registration…see following registration schedule to minimize confusion.
All contests will compete at the age they are the day of the pageants – NO EXCEPTIONS. Contestants may be ask to show proof of age.
Diaper Derby contestants (0-6 months & 7-12 months) will compete in Diaper/Diaper Cover only! Socks and hair bows are allowed. NO shorts, NO Big Lacy Bloomers – Simple Diaper Cover ONLY!
All other contestants may wear pageant or Sunday best (long or short).
Contestants CANNOT wear hats or gloves, carry or wear flowers other than Baby’s breath in hair. This will be enforced. Could result in disqualification.
All contestants should reside in Middle Tennessee or Southern Kentucky Area. The following classes will crown a “Hostess” (Portland Only) Queen in addition to the typical Middle TN Strawberry Queen. Little Miss Strawberry 7/9, Jr. Miss Strawberry 10/12, Jr. Miss Princess 13/15, and Miss Middle TN Strawberry 16/19.
All contestants shall behave in lady like/gentleman like manner, being courteous to one another before, during and after competition as well as to PHS representatives. Excessive noise, unkind behavior, or failure to cooperate with another contestant or with PHS representatives is grounds for immediate disqualification. No warnings will be given. Parents, please set the example.
Contestants that have been married or are married, or have children are not eligible for competition
Miss Middle TN Strawberry Queen 16-19 contestants will be REQUIRED to compete in Casual Wear and Formal Wear. Casual Wear consists of shorts & a top. No capris, skorts, mini skirts, or pants are allowed. If there is any doubt, please bring your casual outfit to registration and ask! Please arrive dressed in casual wear, a dressing room will be provided for changing.
The backstage area is the drama department and contains many props and other property – please respect this property and do not allow your children to disturb any of this property. Due to this only the contestant will be allowed backstage (excluding 0–3-Year-old Division – they will be allowed ONE parent per contestant). NO EXCEPTIONS – failure to adhere to this policy will result in contestant being disqualified.
The Winner and Runners –up may be asked to participate in Strawberry Festival benefits and functions, and/or competitions. WINNERS (not anyone who is a runner-up) from age 4 years and up are EXPECTED to participate in the Strawberry Parade, May 11th, on the city float.
Any contestant that would like to request their scores may do so at the registration table following the pageants or via e-mail portland.pageant@gmail.com. Due to other commitments with Strawberry Week –SCORES will be given out the week of May 7th - May 10th.
Photogenic Rules
There is a $10 entry fee for the photogenic contest.
All photos must be turned in no later than 30 minutes before your designated pageant.
All photos must be unframed. Please submit recent photos. NO Glamour shots will be allowed.
Portland High School Cheerleaders and Photographer assume NO LIABILITY for damage incurred to photos during pageants. We are not responsible for damaged or lost photos.
ALL PHOTOS will be available for pick-up immediately following your pageant at the registration table in the hall.
Limit one photogenic entry per contestant.
The Photogenic winner may be asked to participate in Strawberry Week benefits, functions, and/or competitions.
