Meeting Dates will be in January, February and March after school

Mock Trial competition will be on March 10 at La Roche University.

Students in grades 7 and 8 are able to participate in Mock Trial. Any student interested in participating in Mock Trial in March should sign up in the Robotics Studio. This team competition does require 8-10 after school practices as we work wth an attorney to dissect and prepare a complex case. Students will be assigned to either the defense or prosecution team. This does require public speaking, research, and reading comprehension skills, so students should have an interest in English Language Arts. See Dr. Stebler with any questions. If more than 14 students sign up, names will be drawn to determine which students are able to participate.

December 5

The Northern Area Gifted Consortium will be hosting their annual chess tournament at North Allegheny. Students in grades 6-8 are able to compete in this event. There are 9 spots remaining for the Chess Tournament, and there will be practices during tutorials on December 1 and 4. Students do not have to be competitive chess players, but having played the game before is ery helpful. See Dr. Stebler with any questions.
