Topics of interest
We seek submissions from both industry and academia that focus on systems, applications and tools in the intersection of GenAI and Data. In particular, submissions covering topics from the following non-exclusive list are encouraged:
Novel research solutions: Innovative approaches to GenAI and data management challenges identified as highly impactful by the research community while while remaining firmly rooted in real-world applications.
Defining long-term research agendas: What are the critical problems in the intersection of GenAI and data management that cannot be solved solely by advancements in models or improved prompt engineering?
GenAI technologies in practice: Insights into current solutions with a focus on open problems identified through user or customer feedback and/or data-driven evaluations grounded on real-world data and applications
Database research’s evolving role: How can database research remain relevant amidst rapid AI advancements and fast-paced industry developments?
Identifying unsolved problems: What pressing data management challenges, overlooked by current GenAI offerings, should the industry prioritize based on insights from researchers.
Submissions
All submissions must be no longer than six pages, excluding the bibliography. There is no limit on the length of the bibliography. Papers should describe work in the field of GenAI+Data and emphasize one or more of the following dimensions: open problems for the community, user feedback, motivation and grounding on real-worlds scenarios. Accepted papers will be given 10 pages (plus a bibliography) for the camera-ready version and a presentation slot during the workshop.
Submission Instructions
Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research papers that are not being considered for publication in any other forum. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically as PDF files using the latest ACM paper format consistent with the ACM SIGMOD formatting guidelines to the MIDAS 2025 CMT site (available from mid-February on). Submissions will be reviewed in a single-blind manner. Submissions that are longer than six pages, excluding the bibliography, will be desk-rejected.
