The meat and potatoes of my issues has I believe to do with my drivers. AMD and Asus both offer chipset packages which to my understanding include the storage drivers which in theory should solve my problem.
Chipset - latest chipset drivers also include no .INF files. MDT imports nothing. There are some older chipset packages that include some INFs but as far as I can tell there is nothing for storage. It seems to be all audio, networking, and usb

In order to enable this feature, you must launch an HVM AMI with the appropriate drivers. The instances listed as current generation use ENA for enhanced networking. Amazon Linux AMI includes both of these drivers by default. For AMIs that do not contain these drivers, you will need to download and install the appropriate drivers based on the instance types you plan to use. You can use Linux or Windows instructions to enable Enhanced Networking in AMIs that do not include the SR-IOV driver by default. Enhanced Networking is only supported in Amazon VPC.

Thanks! I WOULD like to be able to get something to boot and access that drive / figure out what drivers are needed and how to build them in. I've spent hours on this. The password reset will take seconds / I know several ways.... if I can access the drive.
