As you probably already know if you've been researching about the problem, the 0x80070070 error is just a lack of space in the hard drive, and the 0x803fb107 means that another part of the installation just didn't get installed (In this case, since the individual parts of the MCC were having the 0x80070070 error, the main MCC file was getting the 0x803fb107 error.) This just means that you just have to free more space on your drive. But what if you can't? then you have to change the game into another drive that has more space right? well, what happens when the microsoft store doesn't allow it from the app itself? you have to go and change it from the control panel. Well, what if after doing that it STILL tries to install it on the drive that has no space? you read a random microsoft employee comment on the answers dot microsoft forum that says that you have to go into regedit and do some mumbo jumbo shit that ends up not only not working but slowing your entire computer (fuck you microsoft employee).

No single microsoft employee told any of the people that had this problem on their forums to try doing it through the Xbox app instead of the microsoft store. I never had the Xbox app installed and i never got the xbox gamepass so i never even knew that it was a thing. I thought everything was supposed to be downloaded from the Microsoft Store. As soon as i got the Xbox app i got to my library and got the option to install the games on any drive that i wanted, they even make you create a folder for your xbox games the first time you use it, and it's overall a very good place to download the games.

Sorry if it's like a very stupid and obvious post for some, but i've seen reddit posts from people literally giving up on the microsoft store and buying the MCC off steam just because they couldn't manage to solve this problem, and i don't want anyone to go through that.

Tried to preload FH5 but I get this error 0x803FB107, so far I tried to sign in and out of the windows store, reset the Windows Store from Apps & Features and neither worked, did anyone else encounter this error?

Agree with your sentiment, this game is a Pain to get to work and install. No other piece of software on this planet, is as convoluted to get/install/make work as this one is. I took the whole MS FS folder and copied to a separate drive on the off chance my PC might crash. Last Friday it did, used my OEM USB Recovery Windows 10 disc to restore to factory. MSFS last thing to get reinstalled, and yet, it again took several hours to figure out and fix errors system reported in that recovery effort. I am old, life is short, this is way more work versus the benefit we receive playing this game.

Take myself as example, I installed MSFS 2020 in a portable SSD drive D:\ a long time ago. I found my volume D:\ often could not be safely removed due to the occupation of windows store. I had to make the computer sleep and then unplug my SSD. It was so annoying that I had to brutally delete the relevant windows app folder in D:. I reinstalled MSFS in my hard drive E:\ and again I uninstalled MSFS because I was busy and did not want to be distracted by games. Today I want to reinstall MSFS in D:\ (how funny). I stuck at 99% and encountered 0x803fb107 (xbox) and 0x80073d0d (windows store) problem.

Im trying to fix this problem for several days now without success. I just cant download msfs 2020 from microsoft store.

Ive talked hours to microsoft support they couldnt help me as well. Ive tried it all: reseting the store, clearing cache, reinstall, disabling anti virus and much much more. Im out of Ideas if anyone had the same problem pls tell me how you fixed it.

I dont have any problems downloading from any other launcher such as steam, epic games launcher, origin etc. I also did several windows probelm diagnosis on the software and the Harddrive - no problems found.

I already opened a support ticket hopefully I can transfer my Premium Deluxe Edition to Steam, Im done with microsoft Store. If anyone still has an Idea I would love to hear it.

Also Im able to download other small apps such as Prime Video but when it comes to big Games like Forza or MSFS I get the error.

even after an in build windows repair the problem still perists and I cant download msfs 2020 from the microsoft store or the xbox app. Error Code: 0x803FB107. Im at that point when theres just nothing more to do, cause I did it all.
