To see how values are calculated, click on "Equations". The equations used will be displayed. Further information is available by clicking on "Info"

Use the toolbar to configure your camera (pixel size, binning and additional magnification), save and restore objectives, and share images of objectives.

To calculate your camera pixel size, divide the physical width of the sensor by the number of pixels in the X axis. You can usually find this information with the help of google. For example, you can find the sensor size for the Canon EOS 7D here:

Dividing the width, 22.3 mm (22,300 μm) by the number of pixels in the X dimension, 5184, equals 4.3 μm per pixel.
