Micronational Internet Hall of Fame
Micronational Internet Hall of Fame
The Micronational Internet Hall of Fame honours those micronationalists who have made significant contributions towards the development of micronationalism on the Internet. Founded in June 2022, the hall of fame does not wish to represent elitism, but rather to thank and commemorate the people who have made contributions towards developing websites and online media for micronational use on the World Wide Web, often selflessly. Three inductees are chosen annually by amateur micronational historian Zabëlle Skye based on several factors. Feedback and input for who you wish to be inducted into the hall of fame can be submitted via e-mail.
Inductees will be announced on 1 November.
Pedro Aguiar, Secretary-General of the online League of Secessionist States (October 1996 to July 1997), then the largest intermicronational organisation, and publisher of the first micronational encyclopaedia, the Jéssica Encyclopeadia (November 1999)
Joseph Bloch, creator of Micronations on the Web (April 1998), one of the earliest successful web directories, listing 114 national websites of micronations
George Cruickshank, creator and owner of Listofmicronations.com (March 2009 to May 2012), which by its demise listed 300 micronations and was generally well-received
