Objectives of the Iesults and Conclusions

  • Production of IAA by Acinetobacter spp. isolated from rhizosphere of wheat.
  • Purification and chemical analysis of produced IAA.
  • To check the IAA production is chromosomal or plasmid encoded.
  • Use of the Acinetobacter spp. as bioinoculum.

Results and Conclusions

  • This is the first report on plasmid encoded IAA production in the genus Acinetobacter. It clears the role ofAcinetobacter in wheat rhizosphere.
  • It was proved that Acinetobacter has symbiotic interaction with wheat plant and is able to stimulate growth of wheat plant.

Applications of the Patent

  • Acinetobacter spp. can be used as a competent bioinoculum.
  • It has ability to stimulate growth of wheat as well as many crop plants and can be successfully used as effective biofertilizer.
