Each module needs to provide a well-written course title and subtitle that includes relevant keywords.
A well-written course description. Clear course goals, target audience, and requirements that are easy and understand.
A complete course landing page has an introductory video and/or interesting introductory image.
Maximum 15 minutes of a video content, but preferably 10 minutes with at least 5 separate lectures.
Video quality and format of the content video - audio, export video HD min 1080x720px 1920x1080px. The video should be clear, not blurry, so students can see the instructor and the learning material easily.
Each video lecture has only 1 (ONE) main concept or learning outcome.
Subtitle for the video is encouraged but not compulsory. -
The Microcredential@USM focus on teacher-centered video instruction.
Range of the whole module (per topic) is around 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Quality content – Instructors are strongly recommended to produce high quality content and familiarize themselves with course creation best practices that includes professionalism and rich learning experience.
Provide all needed resources, downloads, and links for each practice activity.
Instructors should share useful content early in the course, avoiding spending too much time on background.
As in Microcredential@USM, students pay to learn while they earn, they will expect a certain level of professional polish in the video and content. Try to reduce background noises, hums or echo’s.
