MicroApps Technology ("we," "us," or "our") provides Weather & Room Temperature (the "App"). This policy explains what information the App handles, where it is sent, and what stays on your device.
INFORMATION THE APP USES AND SENDS
Location and weather requests
If you grant location permission and use local weather features, the App obtains your device's approximate or precise location, depending on the permission you choose. It sends the latitude and longitude to OpenWeatherMap (api.openweathermap.org) to request current weather, forecasts, and air-quality information. Weather icon images may also be requested from openweathermap.org. OpenWeatherMap therefore receives the location coordinates included in those requests, along with ordinary network request information such as your IP address. If you deny location permission, the App cannot request weather for your current location; indoor temperature features can still be used.
The App's code does not send these coordinates to a MicroApps Technology-operated server, and it does not include location coordinates in the Firebase Analytics events described below. OpenWeatherMap handles requests under its own privacy policy and retention practices.
Analytics and diagnostics (Google Firebase)
The App uses Firebase Analytics to send app usage events to Google, such as app and screen opens, selected tabs, settings choices, location-permission results, weather-load success or failure, refreshes, and certain feature interactions. These events help us understand App use and improve reliability. The App's event parameters do not contain the latitude or longitude used for weather requests. Firebase may also process app-instance identifiers, device/app information, IP address, and other technical or usage information as part of its SDK operation.
The App includes Firebase Crashlytics for crash and diagnostic reporting. When a crash or relevant diagnostic event occurs, technical information such as the app state, device model, operating-system version, and crash details may be sent to Google to help diagnose problems.
Remote configuration and notifications (Google Firebase)
The App contacts Firebase Remote Config to retrieve settings that control app behavior, including feature and advertising display settings. Firebase Cloud Messaging is included for notification delivery. Google may process app/device identifiers, IP address, and a messaging registration token to route messages. The App does not manually send that token to a MicroApps Technology server. Notifications may contain weather or app-update information. You can control notification permission in Android settings; some locally scheduled temperature alerts are generated on your device.
Advertising and consent (Google Mobile Ads and UMP)
The App displays ads using the Google Mobile Ads SDK and uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present privacy or consent choices where applicable. When ads are requested or displayed, Google may receive IP address, ad/device identifiers (subject to Android and consent settings), ad and app interactions, and diagnostic information for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. Google's SDK and services handle this information under Google's applicable terms and privacy policy. You can change available ad privacy choices through the App's privacy options (if shown) and Android's advertising/privacy settings.
INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
The App stores settings and operational information locally, such as temperature units and display preferences, indoor-temperature calibration, onboarding state, notification/alert schedule, and limited app-session or engagement counters. It also uses a temporary on-device cache for weather responses. These items are not sent to our own server. Android removes app-private data when you clear the App's storage or uninstall it. Cached weather data may include the requested location's weather response.
INFORMATION WE DO NOT REQUEST
The App has no account-registration feature and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, camera, or microphone. We do not operate an account database for App users, and we do not sell personal information. This statement does not cover information handled independently by Google, OpenWeatherMap, Google Play, or your device/network provider as described above.
SERVICE PROVIDERS AND LINKS
The App's network destinations for the features described in this policy are OpenWeatherMap and Google Firebase/Google Mobile Ads services. Those providers process information to provide weather, app configuration, crash reporting, notifications, analytics, and advertising. Their own privacy terms govern their handling and retention of information. The App may link to external websites; their privacy practices are separate from ours.
DATA RETENTION AND CHOICES
Information held only in the App's local storage remains there until you clear the App's storage or uninstall it. Data sent to Google or OpenWeatherMap is retained and handled according to the relevant provider's policies and settings. You can deny or revoke location and notification permissions in Android settings. If you revoke location permission, the App will stop obtaining location for new weather requests, although the provider may retain requests already received according to its policy. You can manage available consent/privacy choices in the App and Android settings.
CHILDREN
The App is a general utility and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children. Because third-party SDKs may process device and usage information, a parent or guardian with a question about a child's use of the App can contact us at the address below.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy when the App's features or data flows change. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date above.
