Hudson Sound, LLC ("we," "our," "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use the MicList mobile application (the "App") on both iOS and Android platforms.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We collect "Personal and Sensitive User Data" only as necessary to provide core app functionality.
Display Names: We collect the display name you choose. This identifies you in chat messages and scene collaboration.
Authentication (Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In): * iOS: We use Sign in with Apple to associate your account with your scenes. We receive a unique identifier and, optionally, a private relay email.
Android: If you use Google Sign-In, we receive a unique user identifier and your email address (if permitted) to sync your subscription and scene ownership.
Subscription Information: Subscriptions are processed via Apple App Store or Google Play Billing. We do not store credit card details. We store a "subscription status" flag to manage real-time editing permissions.
Scene Data: We collect microphone assignments, frequency data, cast assignments, and notes. This data is shared with users you explicitly invite to a scene.
Chat Messages: Messages sent within scenes are collected and stored to maintain conversation history for scene collaborators.
Cloud Sync (iCloud & Google Drive): * iOS: Uses CloudKit for personal syncing.
Android: May use App Data folders in Google Drive for personal backups. This data is not accessible to Hudson Sound, LLC.
Technical & Usage Information: We use Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics). This may collect device identifiers, OS version, and crash logs to improve app stability.
Collaboration: To enable real-time updates and identify who is making changes in a scene.
Account Management: To ensure your MicList Pro features and scenes follow you across devices.
Service Improvements: To troubleshoot bugs using anonymized technical data.
With Other Users: Scene data and chat messages are visible to collaborators within that specific scene.
Service Providers: We use Google Firebase for data synchronization and hosting. Firebase handles data securely and is compliant with international security standards.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or advertising.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
Encryption: All data is transmitted via HTTPS/TLS encryption.
Storage: Data stored in Firebase is protected by Google’s security infrastructure.
Access Control: Access to scenes is restricted to users with a unique, system-generated Scene Code.
We provide users with full control over their data:
Retention: Scene data and chat messages are retained only as long as the scene exists.
User-Initiated Deletion: You may delete a scene at any time, which permanently removes all associated data from our servers for all participants.
Account Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and all associated identifiers by contacting privacy@miclist.app. We will process these requests within 30 days.
Depending on your location, you have the right to:
Access the data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data (e.g., changing your display name).
Delete your data ("Right to be Forgotten").
Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
MicList is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware of such collection, we will take immediate steps to delete the information.
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your home country (primarily in the United States via Google Firebase). By using the App, you consent to these transfers.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in app features or Play Store/App Store requirements. Updates will be noted by the "Last Updated" date above.
